PLAYING FOR PLEASURE

In July, the combined Recorder groups were invited to a musical gathering in Joanna Bazely's house to enjoy the results of their tuition during the year. It was one of the hottest days of the summer and Joanna had prepared a variety of delicious food for the group, which we were able to eat in her very pretty garden.

This was also the 10th year since Joanna started her recorder classes for U3A members. She covers everything from absolute beginners to experienced players. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the group presented her with a collection, which she intends to spend on plants and flowers for her garden.

The groups will start again in September. New members are always welcome. Whether if you learned at school and want to brush up your memories or you are an absolute beginner or you are an expert musician, all can be accommodated. Please contact Joanna and join one of the groups. You will surprise yourself as to how much you enjoy it.
