U3A LONDON REGION NETWORK

London Region Summer School July 31-August 2nd 2018

A popular non-residential three-day event at St Bride Foundation, Bride Lane, Fleet Street. Click here for the poster.
(Easy access: 5 minutes from Blackfriars underground station)

There will be a choice of 32 different talks, 2 workshops, and 6 guided walks around the City of London.
In addition to the usual wide range of topics, we are also including some talks covering various aspects of women’s literature, history, arts and sciences to mark the centenary of women’s suffrage.

This year we are delighted to say that three of the talks will be given by Merton U3A members:
·      Debbie Chapman: Pain and the Brain
·      Bernard Collyer: The Life and Work of Peter Bruegel the Elder
·      John Naylor: The Planet and the Pendulum

Cost: £36 per day. Members can attend for one, two or three days.
Lunch is included, and this year we have plans to reduce congestion at lunch-times.

Online and postal booking to be launched mid-February.
Members can register now to receive programme details in advance.
